Electric Monk Studios lives downstairs at our house. It started as a wee small thing in 2006 and grew like topsy then shrunk again ... sort of.

It's powered by a UA Apollo quad off of which hangs a UA 4710 and a presonus mixer giving 16 channels analogue in. There are three recording spaces and so a live recording of a four piece (or smaller) is a breeze. Microphones include 414s 451s and multiple Rode, SE, Neumann, and Shure mics.

Thanks to UA's amazing architecture and engineering, I don't need outboard gear anymore and I certanly don't miss it.

I'm lucky to have the use of Acoustic 3D technology which is incredibly accurate and realistic monitoring that translates beautifully.

You can hear some mixes here.

I'll put some pictures up eventually.
